Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links are marked where they appear. Commissions never influence our ratings, rankings, comparisons, or recommendations — a product doesn't score higher because it pays us, and we say so on our review methodology page too.

Why affiliate links exist

EVThrottle is free to read, and we intend to keep it that way. Affiliate commissions are one of the ways we pay for hosting, image licensing, and the time it takes to research every story properly. They cost you nothing extra — the price is the same whether you click our link or go to the retailer directly. Our editorial independence rules apply no matter which retailers we have affiliate relationships with: no pay-for-play, no pay-for-placement, ever.

How to spot them

Affiliate links are marked where they appear, and this page is linked from the footer of every page on the site. If you're ever unsure whether a particular link is an affiliate link, assume the policies on this page apply. Retailers may use cookies to track that you arrived via our link — that's how the commission gets attributed — and that tracking is covered by the retailer's own privacy policy as well as ours.

Sponsored content

Any paid or sponsored content is clearly labeled "Sponsored" at the top of the page. We publish sponsored content rarely, and only when it's genuinely useful to readers — never a disguised product endorsement. Sponsors don't influence our editorial coverage, and sponsored content is never presented as an independent review or news story.

Advertising

We show display ads through Google AdSense. Advertising is kept completely separate from editorial content — advertisers have no influence over what we cover or how we cover it, and ad placement never affects article content. How ad cookies work is explained in our privacy policy.

No pay-for-placement

Rankings, comparisons, and "best of" lists are never for sale. Nobody can pay to be included in a comparison, to rank higher, or to have a competitor left out. Our editorial policy has the full independence rules.
